Following recent changes to the UK’s planning law, farmers are now able to convert agricultural buildings into residential housing without needing planning permission.
The changes, which came into effect from 6th of April, will include allowing farmers to turning agricultural buildings into dwellings in the hopes of addressing the rural housing shortage.
Additionally, farmers are being encouraged to engage in diversification to generate extra income, increasing the sustainability their farm.
