The online portal for the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS) is now open to submit applications for the furlough wages grant.
It has been confirmed the payment will be received six workings days after the claim is submitted.
Due to the additional work involved the CJRS applications will not be included in our usual payroll service and will be charged on a time incurred basis. We understand that many businesses are struggling with cashflow during this time and we will not be raising or collecting this fee before the monies are received from HMRC.
If you would like us to submit the furlough reclaim on your behalf please let us know and we will be in touch to confirm the total amount to be reclaimed to date.
If we don’t currently complete your payroll, but you would like us to complete the claim for you, we will need to register as your agent and this process takes approximately 10-15 days.
If you would like to make the claim yourself please find the link below:
Once the application is submitted to HMRC we will not be able to make any amendments to the furlough wages included in that claim period. As such we are currently making claims for furlough pay included in the March 2020 wages and weekly payrolls up to 19th April 2020.
HMRC have stated applications can only be submitted once every three weeks. If you would prefer to receive the repayment for March and April 2020 wages together this can be processed as one application on or soon after 1st May.
Applications for furlough wages relating to a period after the day of submission will require separate authority to confirm no changes will be required.
